     -  We will be discussing the TXHIA processes to  be nominated and how elections will be  conducted for district and regional coordinators, and regional and general  directors and the roles of committees, etc..
 

     -  Nominations for the  ETX TXHIA Regional Director will be requested for post meeting elections to be via electronic ballot with notice sent to Regional members' registered  emails..

When someone asks,
"What does the Texas Hemp Industries Association do?

TXHIA Executive Director,
Sheila Hemphill, testified before the October 3, 2019 Texas Department State Health Services (DSHS) hearing regarding HB 1325 - Texas Hemp Legislation.

Presented as the:


-  The TXHIA Executive Director- presenting the HIA report to the FDA,  stating that by state law, hemp is unadulterated as food and supplement and to protect our farmer's rights to marketing and production of hemp to put Texas hemp on Texas shelves.


-   As Owner of Help Yourself Wellness Shop -

Personal experience of individuals overcoming mental and physical conditions,

-   As a registered lobbyist with Texas Right To Know -

Advocating for hemp legislation, functional medicine and integrative medicine to address the current state of the Texas healthcare system, that Texas ranks 49th in Prevention and Treatment and 51st in Affordability and Access by the 2019 Commonwealth Fund's  Scorecard on State Health System Performance.
